Negress Commits Suicide
Jessie Hall Drinks Contents Of Three Ounce Bottle Of Acid
Ash Fork, Arizona, Feb. 13 - Jessie Hall, nee Kirkland, a negress, formerly of Prescott, committed suicide at 5 p.m. by taking a three-ounce bottle of carbolic acid, and died at 5:30 p.m., in Ash Fork.
Every effort was made to save her life but she expired before a doctor could reach her.
A physician was coming from Williams on an extra train. Jessie Kirkland was formerly from Poland and well known in Prescott.
Jessie Hall, nee Kirkland, was raised in this city. Her parents are residents of Mayer. She is alleged to have been married to Frank Kirkland in Gallup, New Mexico, sixteen months ago. The couple returned here and lived in Poland and this city. They parted four months ago. She left for Ash Fork and later for Williams.
