| Prescott Evening Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, May 24, 1954, page 1, column 6 Miss Marie Kuhne Is Taken By Death Funeral services for Miss Marie E. Kuhne, 61, life-long resident of this area, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, with Rev. David C. Trimble officiating. Cremation will follow. The body will lie in state from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Ruffner Funeral Home. Miss Kuhne, who was born on July 22, 1892, at Walker, a once-active mining community east of this city, died Saturday at a local hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks. Miss Kuhne's parents were Frank Kuhne, a mining man, and Marie Seidler Kuhne, pioneer Yavapai County residents. Miss Kuhne attended Prescott schools and from 1912 to 1930 was a clerk and department manager at the Bashford - Burmister store in this city. From 1930 until the present, she was associated in business with her brother, M. F. Kuhne, plumbing and heating contractors. Well-known throughout the state and county, Miss Kuhne was a past president of the Business and Professional Women's Club, and St. Mary's Guild of St. Luke's Church. She resided at 431 S. Marina St. Survivors include three brothers, Robert, Frank and M.F. (Moe) Kuhne, all of Prescott, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Osborne, of Alhambra, Calif.
