Laura Helen (Bolden) Kuhne

Laura Helena Kuhne, 89, a native of Prescott, died Thursday, Sept.
15, 1994, at the Scottsdale Village Square in Scottsdale, Ariz. She
was born April 29, 1905, in Prescott to Fred and Laura Bolden.

Mrs. Kuhne's mother, was a native of Prescott. Her grandmother,
Catherine Brown Garbarino, traveled to Prescott at the age of 6, in
1869, in a covered wagon from Denton, Texas. The families were miners
and farmers.

Mrs. Kuhne married Robert H. Kuhne in 1923 and they established their
home on Fair Street in Miller Valley. A new home was built in 1933,
where she lived until 1986 when the property was sold to Smith
Markets. She moved to Prescott Heights until 1993, when she moved to
Scottsdale.

Mrs. Kuhne was a homemaker, mother and helpmate to her husband in his
different occupations. He was in the well-drilling business in the
1930's and 1940's. She is remembered for her beautiful flowers and
gardens and she also enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and other
handwork.

Mrs. Kuhne lived in Scottsdale for the past two years, but the family
states she has missed her home and friends in Prescott.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Richard
Looney of Scottsdale; grandson and wife, Michael and Jill Looney of
Sandy, Utah; sister, Eva Rezzonico of Phoenix; nephews, Dr. Richard
Rezzonico and M. H. Kuhne; and one niece, Mami Pengree. She was
proceeded in death by her husband in 1966,

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21, at
Memory Chapel Mortuary in Prescott.

Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott.

Memorial contributions may be made to: The American Cancer Society,
2929 East Thomas Road, Phoenix, Ariz., 85016.

Arrangements were made by Messingers in Scottsdale and Memory Chapel
Mortuary in Prescott.
