BURKE, Arvid Edward Arvid Edward Burke, 87, died Saturday, April 18, 2009, in Show Low. He was born Oct. 17, 1921, in Effie, Minn., to Edward Burke and Anna Marie Kyllonen Burke. Ed served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He came to Lakeside in the early '70s as a "timber faller." He is survived by two children, Dianna Sentell and Phillip Hughes. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Ouida Burke. Private services were held. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
