| Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Tuesday, November 8, 2016 Margaret S. Jackson “Maggie” passed away on November 3, 2016. She was born on July 28, 1931 in Phoenix, AZ to Lane and Dorothy Sickles. She attended school at Phoenix Union High School and then onto Northern Arizona University where she received her Bachelor and Master degrees in Elementary Education. She enjoyed a long, successful career as a 1st grade teacher in Cottonwood and West Sedona. Reading was her specialty, and she took pride in her work. She loved her family and enjoyed playing bridge, reading and water aerobics. Maggie is survived by three children: Penny Bowie of Phoenix, Dottie Hamm (Tim) of Cottonwood and Lionel “Chip” McCray (Sherie) of Phoenix. Her family extended to eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Maggie was predeceased by her parents, Lane and Dorothy Sickles; husband Wes Jackson and brother Lane Sickles, II. Per her wishes, there will be no services. Her ashes will be sprinkled into the Pacific Ocean in a private ceremony.
