She was born on May 5, 1924 in Piensk, Poland to Walerian Dominikowska and Alma Maria Maszewska. Irene was preceded in death by her husband Gerard Plichta and son Ryszard Plichta. She is survived by son Gerard Plichta (Lynne) of Jerome; daughter-in-law Tracy Plichta of Flagstaff; sister Christine Gakeler of Jobstown, NJ; many nieces and nephews; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
