The Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, October 27, 1985, page 12c Ruby E. Allen Ruby E. Allen, 94, died Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Arizona Pioneers Home. Born Aug. 15, 1891, in Phoenix, she was the daughter of Henry L. and Clara Harbert Kaufman. She lived in Arizona all her life. Her father and grandfather brought the firs citrus and ostriches to the Valley. Mrs. Allen had worked as a telephone operator for an aluminum plant in Phoenix and later was one of the first telephone operators in Prescott. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Carolyn Kaufman of Mayer; and two nieces, Martha Van Tilborg of Mayer and Betty Jo Milner of Grapevine, Texas. Private burial was in the family plot at Mt. View Cemetery. Memory Chapel Mortuary handled private services.
