Lucille A. Cisney transferred her membership from life here on Earth
to be with our Heavenly Father on Nov. 30, 2016. She was 91 years
young.
Lucille was born to Walter R. and Bernice Asbury in Liberty, Mo. She
met her future husband, Floyd L. Cisney, while living in Holbrook,
Ariz. After marriage, they moved to Kingman in February, 1946.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, LeAnn Bard (Warren); and
stepson George Cisney (Ruth); nine grandchildren; 23 great
grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Cisney (former
sheriff of Mohave County); daughter Mary Lawrence, son, Donald
Cisney; grandson, Dana Hartford and brother, Robert Asbury. In her
earlier years, Lucille won several Powderpuff Derby races held in
Kingman in the 1950s. She had many jobs, including test driver for
Ford Proving Grounds in Yucca. She retired in 1984.
Lucille was a stunt driver in the movie, “Edge of Eternity,” filmed
in Kingman and Oatman in 1959. Lucille was also given the Pioneering
award presented by Kingman Women Making History in 2010.
Graveside services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery on Dec. 6,
2016 at 1 p.m.
