| Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ >>> Published on Thursday, December 8, 2016 <<< Raymond Lee Miller was born in Hugo, Okla. on Feb. 26, 1933. He passed away in Kingman, Ariz. on Nov. 4, 2016. Ray was the son of Roy and Mary (Sessums) Miller. He spent his childhood in Okla. and in the Phoenix area. He married Eula Mardis in June 1952; they resided in Peoria, Ariz. and in Boron, Calif. He eventually moved to Phoenix and married Jerralyn Russell in 1963. They celebrated 53 years of marriage in September of this year. Ray was a metal worker in the Air Force in his younger years, and later a farmhand. He was a heavy equipment operator and a truck driver for many years. He loved and enjoyed his family, friends and little dogs. He had a passion for cars and he was an excellent cook. His favorite hobby was playing poker. Ray leaves behind his wife, Jeri, and their combined children; Jerry (Pam) Miller, Sherry Miller Wilfon, Deborah (Jeff) Beebe, Vicki (Huck) Sandsness, and Rene Miller Morisato; as well as 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, with two on the way. He is also survived by his sister, Frances Bacon, of Oregon, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary Miller, an infant brother, three sisters: Vida Posey, Vera Martinez and Oleta Dossett, his beloved son Tony Miller, his stepson Don Babcock, and his precious infant granddaughter Jamie Miller. A memorial will be held on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Dambar Steakhouse in Kingman, Ariz. |
