Jose (Joe) Luis Islas, 52, left us to go be with our heavenly father on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. He was born on March 10, 1964 in Cottonwood, Arizona to Jesus and Andrea Islas.

Joe went to Mingus Union High School and then got his degree in welding. He was a wonderful craftsman.

He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his quads. He was famous for making carnitas. Everyone that tasted them, were hooked for life. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends. He knew no strangers; he was always there to lend a helping hand.

He was always a loving son, father, brother, uncle and friend.

Joe left behind his love Dianne, his son Joseph and wife Jodi, his two beautiful grandchildren Madilyn and Dalton, his two daughters Olivia and Marissa, his parents Jesus and Andrea Islas, seven siblings: Consuelo, Amador (Cam), Maria (Terry), Jesus (Audrey), Anna, Emma, Andrea (Bill), 13 nephews and nieces, 14 great nephews and great nieces, and many relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mongini Family Dairy Farm, Hwy 89A & UVX Road in Bridgeport on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. Casual attire please.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made “In Memory of Jose Luis Islas” to Outdoor Experience 4 All, 12826 South 38th Place, Phoenix, Arizona, 85044.
