| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, April 27, 1998, page 5a Ellen 'Helen' Roth, 90, died Saturday, April 25, 1998, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 24, 1907, in County Mayo, Ireland to Michael and Mary (Moran) O'Neill. Mrs. Roth came to the United States when she was 18, and moved to Prescott from Glendale, N.Y. She was a wonderful cook and a skilled knitter, and made many lovely sweaters and afghans for her family. She was an active member of Scared Heart's Fun Bunch, and enjoyed going on the many trips taken by the group. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ray, in Oct. 1961. Survivors include her daughter, Eleanor, of Prescott and three grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with a Scripture Rosary at 6 p.m., at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Avenue. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. The Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home helped the family with arrangements. |
