| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, December 7, 2016, page 7a Thomas John Jeffrey, 88, of Prescott, Arizona, beloved husband of Glenda Jeffrey, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Nov. 20, 2016. Tom is survived by his wife Glenda; his three sons Tom “Buck” (Mary) Jeffrey, Dave (Cheryl) Jeffrey, Doug Jeffrey; three daughters, DaWanda (Ron) Randall, Sandy Harney, Ranee (John) Jones; fifteen grandchildren, Heather (Albert), Heidi, Kayleigh (Chris), Clifford, Justin, Byron, Eric (Jennifer), Kristen (Bryant), Matthew (Heat..her), Zachary, Alison, Jessica (Scott), Mackenna, Jeff, Ryan (Amber); and fourteen great-grandchildren. Tom was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he attended the University of Pittsburgh an received his Bachelor of Science in Business. He was proud of being a Captain in the United States Air Force where he served from 1952-1969. After retiring from the USAF, his career in Labor Relations and Personnel led to a variety of travel opportunities including a number of fondly remembered years in Jakarta, Indonesia. Tom enjoyed building and flying R/C model airplanes. He enjoyed the camaraderie provided by his most recent club the Chino Valley Flyers. We wish to express our deepest gratitude to those “Flyers” closest to Tom for your friendship and banter! Tom was loved by all who met him. He was personable and caring. We wish him well on his next adventure into the “Wild Blue Yonder”. Loved by his family, extended family and friends he will be missed terribly. Inurnment will be Friday Dec. 9, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Prescott National Cemetery. Following the brief ceremony family and friends will gather at his home. Hampton Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements. Information provided by survivors. |
