| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Friday, December 16, 2016 <<< Oscar H. Sallard, 91, passed away Dec. 12, 2016 in Lake Havasu City. He was born April 2, 1925 in El Paso, Texas to John and Mercedes (Cordova) Sallard. Oscar served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during World War II under “Patton’s Army.” He enlisted in 1943 and was honorably discharged. Oscar was married to his beloved wife, Billie Jean, for 64 years before her passing. Prior to moving to Lake Havasu City, they traveled the country in their camper until they landed in Havasu in 1988. They were members of the Havasu Campers for many years, living in their camper while their home was being built. Oscar will be greatly missed and always loved. Oscar is survived by his children John Brad Sallard and Barbara Jean Sallard Hunt, grandchildren Daniel, Steph, Matt, David and Tony, and great-grandchildren Zach, Cooper, Sara, Kaden, Mathew and Daniel. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Billie Jean Sallard. Services are pending. Arrangements are under the care of Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory, veteran and family-owned. |
