| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 <<< >>> April 12, 1927 — Dec. 15, 2016 <<< Gladys was no ordinary woman. She lived in Lake Havasu City since 1974. As a beloved mom, wife, friend, singer and dancer, she will be remembered fondly and distinctly in every heart that was lucky enough to cross her path. Her love for life radiated so strong that the sun was jealous. A 120-degree Lake Havasu City day was nothing in comparison. To Gladys, age was but a number. She believed the key to staying young was moving - and boy did she ever. However, the most amazing part was that her mind soared at an equal pace. And with a combination like that, there is no question that her spirit is flying higher and happier than you could ever imagine. If you knew Gladys, it is no surprise that she wanted one last hurrah. So, as an inspiration to us all, join us to celebrate her life from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Jan. 21 at the American Legion, to relish in and appreciate the fullness of the life lived by Gladys Louise Funk. |
