| Wickenburg Graphic (Wickenburg, Arizona) Thursday, March 12, 1931, p. 3 c. 4 Coed Killed Trying to Avoid Another Accident Ontario, Calif.--Betty Hill, seventeen, Pomona College coed, was killed instantly in a traffic crash here. An empty purse had been placed in the street by some boys and the motorist driving in front of Miss Hill's auto stopped suddenly to pick it up. In order to avoid crashing into him Miss Hill swerved her car directly into the path of another auto coming from the opposite direction. Her light roadster rolled over several times.
