| Griffith Mortuary Kearny, Az. 4 Jan. 2017 Julissa Rose Garcia, age 14 of Superior Arizona, was born on June 28, 2002 in Mesa, AZ to Adrian and Maria “Loly” Garcia of Superior, AZ. She walked into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 28, 2016. Julissa was an exceptional student and teammate at John F. Kennedy Elementary School, Superior Senior League and Superior Junior/Senior High School. As an avid lover of sports, Julissa excelled playing softball, basketball, and volleyball. Her infectious smile brightened up any room she walked into and will be missed by her numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A loving daughter, sister and granddaughter, Julissa is survived by her parents Loly and Adrian Garcia and her brother Lorenzo Garcia; Maternal grandparents Velma Sestiaga of Superior, AZ and Tudy and Roxie Alvarado of Hayden, AZ; and paternal grandparents Cynthia Chavez of Mesa, AZ and Jose Garcia of Hayden, AZ. Funeral services will be held on January 7, 2016 with a Rosary and Mass of Resurrection at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
