Former Local Girl Suddenly Passes Away
Mr. and Mrs. John O. Eckel of Fair Oaks received a wire yesterday that their daughter, Mrs. J. D. Bradfute of Claypool, who is well known in Prescott, having been reared in this community, died suddenly that morning from an attack of acute stomach trouble. The body will be shipped to Prescott for burial, which probably will take place Thursday in the Citizens' cemetery, beside the remains of a brother.
Mrs. Bradfute was born and reared in Fair Oaks and attended the district school, after which she enrolled at the Flagstaff Normal, graduation in the class of 1922.
Her death came as a great shock to her parents, who were making preparations to hold a reunion at Christmas. Mrs. Bradfute was planning to come here in a few days to attend the reunion, 10 of the 11 children expecting to be home at that time.
In addition to her parents, and her husband, Mrs. Bradfute leaves a 14 months-old baby girl.
