Aurelia "Penny" (Perez) Beyers

Aurelia “Penny” Beyers, 85, of Lake Havasu City passed away Jan. 15,
2017 at Havasu Regional Medical Center.

Penny was born Sept. 25, 1931 in La Posta, Colo. to Jose Ray Perez
and Tomasita M. Perez.

She worked at aerospace companies in the South Bay area of Los
Angeles for many years. When she retired and moved to Havasu, she
became a volunteer at Havasu Regional Medical Center for 20-plus
years.

Penny married Jack Dale Beyers on Jan. 12, 1954 aboard the USS
Philippine Sea aircraft carrier. Penny lost Jack just a short 14
months ago on Nov. 25, 2015. She is now with her beloved husband of
63 years.

She is survived by her children Tom Beyers and Cindy Beyers, Jackie
Beyers, Roberta and Ronnie Singleton, Severina Beyers and Kirk
Bowles. Also surviving her are 11 grandchildren, 14-plus great-
grandchildren (sweet Caroline making her appearance later this
year), nieces, nephews and many cousins as well as her beloved dog
Chico.

Penny was a mom and grandma to so many in her short time here on
Earth. She was a big Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed attending
sporting events for her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids for many
years.

She was such a great friend and neighbor to so many who will miss
her dearly as well as so many of her family’s friends who knew her
as “Grandma.”

Penny led a very fulfilled life. She brought happiness and laughter
to so many people with whom she came in contact. She will be missed
dearly.

A memorial is set for 1 p.m., Monday Jan. 23, at Generations Church,
3430 N. McCulloch Blvd.
