| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, January 11, 2017, page 7a Irene Margret Castaneda, 76, of Prescott, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona. She was born Friday June 28, 1940, in Prescott, Arizona, to Jesse and Nena Arredondo. Born and raised in Prescott, she attended elementary through high school, and was a member of the Pride of Prescott Marching Band. She later obtained a degree in Micro Computers. Irene enjoyed crocheting, knitting and watching her shows. But her greatest joy was being with her family. She worked hard at several jobs from the age of 27 until retiring from Ruger in 2002. She would always say she was up for any adventure. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Nena Arredondo Sr.; husband Albert Castaneda; brother Jesse Jr.; and both sets of grandparents. She is survived by her children, Marie (Bobby) Craig, Teresa Castaneda, Gabriel Castaneda Sr., Victoria (Toy) Castaneda, and Misty Kellerman; grandchildren Alicia (Mija), Alessandra, Alex, Nicole, Cierra, Elexia, C.J., and Gabriel Jr.; great-grandchildren Zander, Olivia, and Elijah; five siblings; two aunts; one uncle; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m., Friday Jan. 13, 2017, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Ave., Prescott, Arizona, with burial to follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, 400 S.
