Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 <<< John M. Taylor, 86, passed away Jan. 19, 2017. He was born Aug. 12, 1930 to the late Harold and Ruth (Fruetching) Taylor in Topeka, Kan. He married wife Joan Mitchell in Lynwood, Calif., July 1, 1950. John served in the United States Army at the end of World War II. He was an auto mechanic and service station owner. He also enjoyed dirt bike riding, boat racing, bowling, golf and lunching with “the pool guys.” John is survived by sons Johnny M. Taylor of Riverside, Calif., Ronald M. Taylor (Karyl) of Vallejo, Calif., Richard H. Taylor (Scott) of Lake Havasu City, Cary A. Taylor (Nancy) of Murietta, Calif., daughter Sherry R. Wetherbee (Jon) of Irvine, Calif., and sisters Alyce Jackson of Corona, Calif., and Dorothy Church (Duane) of Landers, Calif. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He made friends everywhere he went and will be missed very much by his family and many friends.
