Robert (Bob) Henry Calvin Sr., 68, died Jan. 30 in Lake Havasu City.
He passed peacefully after battling complications from dementia.

Bob was born May 16, 1948 in Glendale, California. He grew up in
Southern California and graduated from Covina High School in Covina,
Calif. before enlisting in the Navy in 1967.

He served four years in the military, completing a tour on the USS
Tripoli during the Vietnam War. His job was to manage to the ship’s
boiler feedwater systems. Fresh cinnamon rolls were expected daily
while in his boiler room, otherwise the kitchen’s hot water would
mysteriously turn off.

Bob moved to Havasu in late 1984. He had previously vacationed hee
with his Aunt Marge and Uncle Dick. He worked as an engineer at the
Mohave Power Station before selling real estate in Havasu. Bob
specialized in commercial sales and attaining his CCIM designation.

One could often find Bob on the lake, fishing the reeds, or in
Steamboat Cove relaxing on the weekend. He was active in many
community groups, including a stint as president of the local Little
League. Bob loved to travel and was an avid deep sea fisherman. He
was a tinkerer, a thinker, a rock, a hard head, a tease, and a
pleaser. Unabashedly neat, he was meticulous, smart, gregarious, and
generous. Bob was tremendously loved and he will be missed.

Bob is survived by his wife Candie; son Robert Jr. (Danielle);
daughters Janee, Julie; stepchildren Ashlee (Steve), Dusty (Wendy),
Zach, and Chase; sister Cathy (Rick step-brother); brother John
(Laurie); step brothers Chris (Janet), Larry (Jacki); and
grandchildren Natalie, Robert III, Carson, Camryn, Colt and Crue.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jack W Calvin, his mother,
