WEIGHER, Emil

Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, November 11, 1914, page 6, column 4 Financial Woes Are Too Heavy To Bear (From Sunday's Daily) Emil Weigher, an Austrian well known in this city, destroyed himself at Humboldt Friday afternoon and took the gun route as the best way to end his earthly woes, due to financial distress. Weigher deliberately planned suicide, and informed friends to this effect several days previous to committing the deed. He placed the 38-calibre pistol under his chin, and fired the shot, the bullet passing through his head. Until a short time ago he had been following the auto stage business between Prescott and Mayer, but discontinued the service owing to lack of patronage. In accordance with the threats made and the man carrying out jist intentions as proved, the coroner's jury returned a verdict at Humboldt of suicide, after viewing the remains. The body was brought to this city yesterday, and after friends of the dead man are heard from the funeral will take place from Ruffner's. Transcriber's note: Mr. Weigher is buried in an unmarked grave at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
