| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 <<< Edmund James Patry, “Big Ed,” 78, was called to Heaven on Feb. 4, 2017. Ed was born in Detroit on Aug. 23, 1938 and has lived in Lake Havasu City for 13 years with his wife, Leila. Ed was proud to have served his country in the Air Force from 1956- 1960. He spent his last few years serving as an American Legion member and Patriot Guard Rider in Havasu. Ed loved to fish, ride his Harley and watch NASCAR. He also was an active member of the Eagles and the Elks in Lake Havasu City. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and was deeply loved by all who knew him. Services for “Big Ed” are Tuesday, Feb. 21, at noon at Lake Havasu City Mortuary, 2225 N. Kiowa. A graveside burial service is Wednesday, Feb. 22 at noon at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., March Air Force Base, California. All are welcome to attend both ceremonies. In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family would ask that you please make a donation in Ed’s name to either the American Legion of Havasu or Hospice of Havasu. See Also: Find A Grave |
