| Prescott Morning Courier, Prescott, Arizona Territory Monday, July 30, 1900, page 4, column 2 John Wesley, better known as Jesse Phillips, died at the Mercy hospital, Prescott, last Saturday of typhoid pneumonia. He was 45 years of age and resided in this section for over a quarter of a century. He was a teamster for J. H. Lee some years ago. He leaves relatives in the state of Washington. Papers in that state are requested to mention his death. Funeral took place from Logan's undertaking parlors yesterday. ----------------------------------------------- Weekly Arizona Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, August 1, 1900, page 4, column 5 Jesse Phillips died at the county hospital today and will be buried tomorrow at 4 o'clock from Logan's undertaking parlors. Deceased was well known in Prescott, having resided here for a number of years. While he was always known by the above name, his correct name was John Wesley. Transcriber's note: Mr. Phillips is buried at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Az., but the exact burial plot is not known. ---------------------------------------------- |
