John Treadaway passed away on August 26th, his two children grandson and wife survive him, as well as two step-children. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on August 21st, 1917.
During his full life, He was a star player in both College and Professional football in the 1950's for the Detroit Lions and New York Giants.
He was a distinguished veteran of World War II, providing valiant service to our great nation, receiving two Purple Hearts and the Silver Star for distinguished service.
His story of patriotic services also included working at the White House within the Eleanor and Franklin Roosevelt's administration.
