| The Prescott Weekly Courier, Prescott, Arizona Territory Friday, July 10, 1903, page 1, column 3 Jacob Merchant, an oldtimer of Wagner, this county, committed suicide with giant powder, on July 8th. He was 53 years old. John Robinson received this intelligence by phone last night. Mr. Merchant was well known in this part of the country.
