Valley Resident Since 1916 Dies

Glendale, Sept. 23--Samuel N. Pullins, 69-year-old valley resident, died in a Phoenix hospital Friday evening after an illness of two months. He was born in Rensselaer, Ind., March 12, 1875, and came to Arizona in 1916 and was engaged in farming in the Glendale district until 1938, when he retired.

He is survived by his children, Bert and Jack Pullins and Mrs. Doris Avis of Glendale, Mrs. Marian Partterson (sic: Patterson) of Buckeye, Clifford Pullins of Jerome, Eddie Pullins, U.S. Navy, and Dean and Peggy Pullins of Phoenix.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Christian Church, with the Rev. Walter Hofmann officiating. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Park.
