Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Sunday, March 5, 2017 <<< Gayle Beck, 79, of Lake Havasu City passed away Feb. 21, 2017. Gayle was born in Cushing, Oklahoma, grew up in Pasadena, California and lived in Havasu for 28 years. She was a mother of seven children whom she dearly loved and always wished she had even more children. She loved to read, sew, family gatherings, yard sales, napping, cooking and fishing. She loved sitting at her kitchen table having a cup of coffee, visiting and laughing with her friends and family and her beloved dog Captain. She was famous for her fish tacos and chili verde. She was a kind and caring lady who opened her home to everyone and was always there for anyone in need. If anyone needed a place to stay they always knew her home and heart were open. She never judged anyone and accepted them for who they were. Gayle was preceded in death by her son Joseph and her great- grandsons Carson and Conner. She is survived by her sons John Ecker, James Ecker, Kevin Beck and her daughters Jeanne Bacon, Jodi Block and Janet Oats, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends who loved her. She will be forever be in our hearts and missed by all. God rest her soul. Services are Sunday, March 12, at 1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 1605 S. McCulloch Blvd., Lake Havasu City. It is immediately followed by a celebration of life at Gayle’s home.
