| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Friday, March 10, 2017 <<< Dorothy “Dottie” Romano, 83, of Lake Havasu City passed away March 7, 2017. She was born to Edward and Dora Sevenish Nov. 12, 1933 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dorothy grew up in Indiana and moved to Phoenix where she met her future husband Frank. They married in 1952 and had six children. She was a Navy wife. Dorothy, Frank and their family got the chance to travel and move all over the West Coast making Lake Havasu City their permanent residence for the past 16 years. Dorothy had many interests in life, including her passion of art, painting, drawing children and working in a carnival for a few years — and she loved it. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Art Guild. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Frank Romano, daughter Dottie Jean Romano and grandson Stuart Malcolm. She is survived by sons Frank Romano of Orange, Calif., and Michael Romano of Lake Havasu City, daughters Deane Leonard of Lake Havasu City, Debra Malcolm of Lake Havasu City, Laurie Ortkiese of Louisville, Ky., nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Dorothy was a loving mother and wonderful woman who will be truly missed by all who knew her. A memorial service is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at Lietz- Fraze Funeral Home in Lake Havasu City.
