Richard D. Lund, 84, of Lake Havasu City passed away March 3, 2017
peacefully at his home with his wife and sons at his side.

He was born in 1932 to Carroll and Lucille Lund in Paonia, Colorado.
He graduated from Riverside Polytechnic High School in Riverside,
California.

He spent his military time in the Air Force as a radar operator and
served during the Korean War.

He was a hardworking, talented man who loved his years working in
the foundry, Hanna Nickel Mine and Pacific Power and Light, where he
mentored and made many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughters Shirley and
Julie.

He is survived by his loving wife Betty of 52 years, brothers Ross
of California and Michael (Shelia) of Oregon, his grateful children
John (Flo) of North Dakota, Richard Jr. (Cindy) of Oregon, Sherry of
Missouri, Mary (Joel) or Oregon, Samuel of Hawaii, Paul of North
Dakota, Carey (Heather) of California, 14 grandchildren, 28 great-
grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

His children fondly remember him for the many wonderful stories of
his life and as an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing and
bowling.

He taught himself Spanish to communicate on his many yearly trips to
Baja, Mexico. He loved donating time, Popsicles and clothing to the
local children.

Donations can be made to Hospice of Havasu or the HRMC Auxiliary
scholarship fund in his name.

As per his wishes, a celebration of life will be at a later date.
