| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, March 26, 2017, page 5a Margaret Louise Lagerquist Verdugo, “Margy,” was born July 11, 1928, to Ted and Lida Kuykendall Lagerquist in Jerome, Arizona. She passed away March 19, 2017, at the age of 88. Margaret was raised in Prescott, Arizona, graduated from Arizona State University, and taught school for three years before becoming a full time homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and painting to a level of excellence. Her caring nature led to 25 years of volunteer service at Presbyterian Community Hospital in Whittier, California, and at the Nazareth House in Fresno. A loving mother of four children, she was a role model that has no match. Margaret is survived by Al, her husband of 66 years; children, Sheila and husband Chuck, Cindy, Ron and wife Christy, Mike and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Brian and wife Opal, Diana, Dustin, Robert, Lida, Samuel and Nicholas; sisters, Melva Nelson and Sue Mahan. She was a caring person who found the good in everyone! A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fresno, California, Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Nancy Hinds Hospice, Poverello House, or a charity of your choice.
