| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Saturday, April 1, 2017 <<< Johnny Richard Brown, 71, passed away in Lake Havasu City, March 22, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He was born to Vernal and Hazel (Gene) Brown, Nov. 27, 1945 in Los Angeles, California. He attended Saugus High School, Saugus Calif., and one year at Pierce College in Los Angeles, Calif. He worked for Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, Calif. as a Production Control Supervisor for 30-plus years before retiring in 2003. In 2006 he moved to Lake Havasu with his companion Linda Veil and made it their home. Johnny had a great love of music, food and drink, boating, coin and gun collecting and hot rods. He had three classic cars, one of which he built from the ground up. He was a member of the Havasu Classics Car Club and One Summer Night Car Club. Johnny is survived by his son Johnny R. Brown Jr. of Paradise, Calif., daughter Carol M. Brown of Lancaster, Calif., sister Susan and brother-in-law Geoff Laramy of Keene, Calif., his 20-year companion Linda Veil of Lake Havasu, and extended family Kim Richards of Lancaster, Calif., Billy Richards of Victorville, Calif., Heidi and Frank Arcidiacono, AJ, Kenna and Frankie Arcidiacono of Lancaster, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents Vernal and Hazel Brown. |
