Steve Housty

Steve Housty, 67, of Lake Havasu City, (formerly of Hammond and
Dyer, Indiana) left this world March 25, 2017 to go onto a better
place. He was born in Hammond, Indiana July 23, 1949.

Steve graduated from Hammond Technical Vocational High School in
1967. He worked at LTV Steel, LaSalle Steel, and Cargill, all
located in Hammond, Ind. Steve loved to scuba dive in his younger
days and travel. He was a cancer survivor for over sixteen years.

Steve and his wife Melanie moved to Lake Havasu City in 2010, where
Melanie will remain. Even after death, Steve is still a giving
person, as he was an organ donor, giving eyes, skin, bone and
cartilage, so others can benefit.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents Steve and Adelgunde
Housty.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Melanie Housty of Lake
Havasu City, brother John (Shannon) Housty of Crown Point, Ind.,
sisters Mary (Dale) Ericson and Heidi (Frank) Allegato both of
Lakeland, Fla., and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, and
their beloved cats, Spot and Jazmin.

In lieu of flowers, Steve and his family ask that any donations be
made to either Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City,
Arizona 86405 or to Hospice of the Calumet Area, 600 Superior
Avenue, Munster, Indiana 46321.

Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
