| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Saturday, April 8, 2017 <<< Jerry Dee Cunningham, 76, passed away April 6, 2017 in Lake Havasu City. He was born March 21, 1941 to Dave and Nettie Cunningham in Lehigh, Oklahoma. The family moved to San Diego Calif, on his first birthday. Soon after graduating high school he joined the Army. After his discharge he worked for the Department of Defense in San Diego until he retired. In 1974 he married his wife Sonia, they moved to Lake Havasu City in 2003 and were married 43 years. Jerry loved kayaking and boating on Lake Havasu and loved to talk with anyone about anything. Jerry is survived by his wife Sonia Cunningham of Lake Havasu City, sons Stephen (Diane) Hoenscheidt of San Diego and David (Rachael) Cunningham of Philadelphia, grandchildren: grandsons Rhett, Nicholas and Aaron, granddaughters Sarah, Gracie, Brook, Lia and Juliana, great-grandson Tyler and brother Ron (Marilyn) Cunningham. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Harry Hoenscheidt and daughter Vicki Augustin. A service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 11 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1605 S. McCulloch Blvd. Pastor Chet Anderson officiating. |
