| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Wednesday, April 12, 2013 <<< Carl Tremaine, 72, passed away Feb. 27, 2017 from a long battle with cancer. He was at home in the arms of the love of his life, his wife Jackie. He also was surrounded by loving family members and friends. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jackie Tremaine, son John Tremaine, and grandsons Justin, Keith and Skyler. Also surviving are many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Maddine Joyce Jenkins, father Carl Stuart Hamblen and son Troy Tremaine. Carl proudly served our country for four years in the United States Air Force. Carl worked most of his life in the millwrights and as maintenance supervisor for Nabisco in California. Moving to Lake Havasu City in 1989, he worked for Hydro Dynamics, McCulloch Corp. and New West Dental until he retired at age 62. Carl had a love for his remote-controlled airplanes (Desert Hawks). He also loved Harley Davidson bikes; he owned his own shop in Santa Rosa, Calif., the Iron Horse. He also had a special love for his two nephews, Adrian and Dominic. A memorial service is set for 1 p.m., May 6 at Saint Michael’s Methodist Church, 2895 Jamaica Blvd., Havasu. A luncheon and a celebration of Carl’s life will follow the service at 3:30 p.m. at the American Legion, 181 Paseo Del Sol Ave. in Havasu. |
