| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Friday, April 14, 2017 <<< Mary Margaret Bundy, 90, passed away March 31 while under the care of Hospice of Havasu in Lake Havasu City. She was born Aug. 12, 1926 to Geneva and James Worthey in Atlanta. Margaret attended school in Georgia. Following graduation, she was employed by Southern Bell Telephone Company. While on a weeks’ vacation in Daytona Beach, Fla., she met and later married Lee A. Bundy. The couple made their home in California. They had one daughter, Pat, and one son, James. Subsequently the Bundys had three grandkids, six great-grandkids and two great-great-grandkids. Margaret also worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Co., and retired from Children’s Home Society Adoption Agency. She was a Havasu resident for the last five years. Margaret was active in Christian Women’s luncheon and bingo, and when she could, she participated in the exercise classes at the Senior Center. Her most favorite activity was playing bingo with her three great- grandsons. She was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter Pat Hurt and son James Bundy, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandbabies. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lee A. Bundy, brother Charles, and son-in-law Daniel Hunt. Funeral services will take place in California. |
