Jimmie Duane Fincher

Jimmie D. Fincher, 67, of Dewey, Arizona, went to live with the Lord on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born in Casa Grande, Ariz., to Jimmie Fincher and Wanda Ohm.

He lived his younger years in Casa Grande, Arizona, where he met his wife, Debra Fincher of 45 years. Jimmie proudly served in U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. After having two children, he moved his family to Stockton, California, for 17 years. After raising his children, he relocated to Arizona, residing in Prescott Valley.

Jimmie was a gentle soul who never met a stranger; who devoted his life to his family, and was happiest when they were together enjoying camping, fishing, bowling and playing cards. He was a collector of many things and was proud of his knife and gun collection. He enjoyed country music, old western movies and dancing with his wife and sisters.

He is survived by his wife Debra; two sisters Phyllis Wilson and Arlene Underwood both of Case Grande; children Donald (Penny) Fincher, Melynda (Vonda) Fincher, all of Prescott Valley; and grandchildren, Devon Fincher, Kevin Fincher, Jimmie Fincher; and step-grandchildren Victoria Turner, Bryanna Turner; and step-great grandchild Peyton; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends.

A public celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 21 at 10 a.m., at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley, Arizona. A private service will be held at the Prescott National Cemetery.
