Darleen Ann Hunter, 70, of Fordland, Mo., passed away on Monday, May 4, 2009, at her home. Darleen was born on Oct. 10, 1938, in Chicago, Ill., to Raymond Joseph Martin and Francis Loretta "Keenan" Martin. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Chicago. Darleen was a retired correctional officer for the Yavapai County Sheriff's Department in Chino Valley, Ariz. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and of the Red Hat Society.
Darleen was preceded in death by her husband John Hunter in 1999, son Tommy Osborne and a grandson Steven Hubbard. Surviving are her two sons, Rick Bodzioch and wife Jodi of Maricopa, Ariz., and Raymond Osborne and wife Danielle of Fordland, Mo.; three daughters, Gail Hubbard and husband Rick of Fordland, Mo., Nancy Simpson and husband Jeff of Fordland, Mo., and Jerrilynn Dortch and husband Mickey of Seymour, Mo.; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2009, in the Preston-Marsh Funeral Home in Rogersville, Mo. Burial will be in the Fordland Cemetery, Fordland. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
