| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Friday, May 5, 2017 <<< Senior Master Sgt. Johnny Ray Haynes died May 1, 2017. He was a resident of Lake Havasu City for 18 years. John was born in Swifton, Arkansas Aug. 12, 1935. Johnny served his country for 27 years in the United States Air Force and retired on April 1, 1979. He married Sandy on Sept. 22, 1955 in Waupaca, Wisconsin. They moved to Lake Havasu City Oct. 3, 1999. He was a very loving husband and father. He helped with numerous charities and gave to others all of his life. He touched many lives and will be sorely missed by all. Johnny is survived by his wife Sandy of Lake Havasu City, son Mike and wife Peggy Haynes of Lake Havasu City, daughter Terry Haynes and Bill Kern of Lakewood, Colorado, daughter Julie and son-in-law Richard Allen of Lakewood, Colorado, brother Danny Haynes of Fort Worth, Texas, sister and family Kay Dunham- Courtney of Panama City, Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Johnny’s life and a potluck is set for noon, Saturday, May 6, at the Eagles Aerie. |
