Yvonne L. (Lanouette) Gagnon

Yvonne L. Gagnon, 87, of Saco, Maine died April 24, 2017 at the
Monarch Center in Saco.

She was born on July 9, 1929 to Henri J. and Yvonne M. (Bellemore)
Lanouette in Dover, New Hampshire. She graduated from Dover High
School.

On July 3, 1954, Yvonne married Gerald “Jerry” Gagnon at St. Mary’s
Church in Biddeford. They spent 48 wonderful years together until
his death on Dec. 22, 2002.

After the wedding, the couple moved to New Britain, Connecticut for
five years before moving to Redondo Beach, California. Yvonne worked
for Hughes Aircraft Co. in El Segunda, Calif. for 26 years. They
decided on early retirement and moved to Lake Havasu City and built
their home.

During retirement, they would summer at their cottage at Ossippee
Lake in Waterboro. They enjoyed RVing across the country, taking
different routes so they could visit every state. They cruised the
Panama Canal, Bahamas, Hawaii, the Mexican Riviera, Nova Scotia and
Alaska. They even visited Australia and New Zealand. Yvonne also
enjoyed playing bingo.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Henri Lanouette.

Yvonne is survived by three sisters: RoseMarie Fenton of Dover,
N.H., Alice L. Billings of N. Kingstown, R.I. and Lorraine Dussault
of California plus numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-
nephews.

A private service is at a later date. Arrangements are by Hope
Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. To share
