| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Saturday, April 29, 2017 <<< James “Jim” Christopher Cooke, 74, of Lake Havasu City passed away on April 11, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jim was born in Queens, New York to Thomas and Ivy Cooke on April 26, 1942. Jim is survived by his spouse of 53 years, Marian Cooke of Lake Havasu City, son and daughter- in- law, Darrin and Kim Cooke, three granddaughters Payton, Taylor, and Lacey, daughter and son-in-law Jeff and Maja Robbins, brother Richard Cooke and several nieces and nephews. Jim is also survived by beloved and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ivy Cooke, brother David Cooke and son Christopher James Cooke. Jim worked for GTE for 25 years and retired as a curricular developer in which he taught executives. He loved his retirement years and living in Lake Havasu City, where he was an active member of Lake Havasu Baptist Church. One of his greatest joys was watching his granddaughters play volleyball, water polo and attending their swim meets. Jim’s funeral service is at Lake Havasu Baptist Church, 2101 N. Palo Verde Blvd. in Havasu on Saturday May 6, at 1 p.m. |
