| Prescott Evening Courier, Prescott, Arizona Territory Tuesday, May 1, 1900, page 4, column 2 Local Intelligence - Died - in Prescott, April 29, 1900, Nelson Grant, a native of Missouri, aged about 75 years. The funeral took place the following day. ----------------------------------------------- Arizona Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, May 2, 1900, page 4, column 2 City and County - Nelson Grant who died in Prescott on Sunday, has for several years occupied a cabin south of town on the mountain side from which he had an excellent view of the town and surrounding country. Although over 70 years old he lived there alone and although about three miles from town, he seldom came to Prescott, averaging about three or four trips a year to buy supplies and to secure a fresh supply of reading matter.
