| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, May 7, 2017, page 6a Ann Carson Dater entered the world on September 12, 1916 and quietly departed on April 28, 2017. She was born and raised on a farm in the lush Ohio Valley and spent the majority of her adult life in Cincinnati. Twenty five years ago, she decided to make Prescott her home. Being a lover of the art and history, she was quite willing to purchase the Knights of Pythias building and renovate it to a house and art gallery that her daughter had so desired. It is now known as ‘Tis. A few years later, the same was done to the Elks Opera House, in order to have it one entity again and a center for the performing arts. She was proud of both establishments and thrilled to see articles about them in the Courier. Ann was a very private person and, although she was truly known by few, she was known of by many. She will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Arrangements entrusted to Ruffner-Wakelin Prescott Chapel. Information provided by survivors. |
