Dale Lewis Schwartz, (MD)

Dale L. Schwartz, M.D. was born in Manhattan, Kansas to Willard and Oma (Grace) Schwartz on June 25, 1932. After struggling for years with Parkinson’s and newer illnesses, he passed away at home with the care of Maggie’s Hospice.

Dale attended Manhattan Schools and K-State. He received his Doctorate of Internal Medicine from Northwestern University in Illinois. He loved tennis, football, the history of old forts, trains and his beloved pet “Roxie” a Shiatzu. In May of 1992, Dale was given the military order of Purple Heart Citation for outstanding care and continued education to our veterans here in Prescott by commander Jack Adams.

Dale is survived by his wife Sharon; daughters Marrgie (Kevin) Scalf of Prescott Valley, Ariz. and Deanna Devereaux of Sumner, Wash.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister Martha Brain of Prescott, Ariz.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, brother Will Schwartz; and sister France “Fran” Schott.

A celebration of Dale’s Life will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers please make a donation in Dale’s name to Maggies Hospice, Doctors without Borders, Salvation Army, Goodwill, or a charity of your choice.
