On May 9, 2017 The Lord has called our angel on Earth, Mima Arminda
La Point, home with him to dance with the angels. The Lord took Mima
to be with him at age 84. Arminda was born on Nov. 14, 1932 in El
Paso, Texas to her parents, Salvador and Pura Gomez.

Arminda has two brothers and two sisters. She married the love of
her life, James La Point on Feb. 9, 1957 in Los Angeles. They had
three beautiful children together: Charles La Point, David La Point
and Kathy Fortenberry. Arminda went to nursing school and became a
registered nurse. She was a great nurse to all. She made friends
with everyone and was loved by all. She resided in Lake Havasu City
for the last two years. Before that, she and her husband lived in
Mohave Valley for 40 years.

Arminda is preceded in death by her husband, James La Point; son
Charles La Point and great-granddaughter Vallory Perea.

She is survived by her children, David (Denene) La Point, Kathy
(Allen) Fortenberry, 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mima will be missed dearly, but is now dancing with the angels,
seeing her husband, son, and holding baby Vallory in her arms. She
loved babies. May God hold you in the palm of his hand until we meet
again.

No service is planned at this time.

Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
Thoughts and condolences can be sent to the La Point family at
