Frances “Kay” Bothmann passed away in Lake Havasu City May 5.

She was born in Redondo Beach, California to Frank and Florence
Thomen. Kay graduated from Dorsey High School in Los Angeles. She
then attended both Midland College in Fremont, Nebraska and the
University of Southern California.

Kay married John Bothmann at Grace Lutheran Church in Los Angeles,
California on Nov. 21, 1945. They had four children. After her
children were grown, Kay worked at the Hacienda Heights High School
District in California for 16 years as an account clerk.

Kay and John loved to square dance. They had many lifelong
childhood friends from church. Her faith was an in integral part of
her daily life. She was always learning a new craft and most
recently enjoyed making very intricate greeting cards for her family
and friends.

Kay was loved by everyone who met her. She was and always will be
a very special part of all of our lives.

Kay is survived by her sister, Patricia; daughters, Nancy and
Susan; son, James; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one
great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents,
Frank and Florence; husband, John; son, William.

Services will be held at a later date in California.

Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
