The Winterset Madisonian Winterset, Iowa November 28, 2001 Alberta A. Smith, 83, died of congestive heart failure Nov. 13, 2001, at Odessey House Care Center in Las Vegas, Nev. A private service was held, with arrangements handled by Davis Funeral Home in Las Vegas. Alberta Smith was born Aug. 20, 1918, to Hollis Vernon and Ona Belle (Barber) Murphy of Lorimor. (Iowa) She married Rollin Oran Smith on Dec. 24, 1936. They farmed in the Lorimor area before moving to Tucson, Ariz. In 1980, they retired and were residing in Las Vegas, Nev. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Hahn (husband Jerry) and Sheryl Grabo (husband Gerald), both of Las Vegas; a son, Norman L. Smith of Show Low, Ariz.: a sister Edna Palmer of Yuma, Ariz; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
