Philip Gerald “Jerry” Welch, 81, of Prescott, Ariz., died May 16, 2017 at the Granite View Adult Care Home.

The son of Charles and Mary Welch, Jerry was born in Chicago, Ill. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps, stationed in the Philippines and Japan. He worked for AT&T for 30 years and retired to Prescott in 1991.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers; Chuck and Tom and his son Michael. He is survived by his wife, Pat, of 54 years, his children; Dan (Nicole) of Sacramento, Calif., Karen Keller (Carl) and Bill (Kim) of Chicago, Ill., and Jim (Susan) of Hillsborough N.J., his sister Marilyn Windsor (Bill) of Las Vegas, Nev. and eight grandchildren; Matt and Jack Welch, Connor and Ryan Welch, Katie, Cameron, and Carter Keller, and Natalie Welch.

The Rosary, followed by the viewing, will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday May 20, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Avenue, Prescott. A mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m.
