Popular Pioneer Is Called By Death
(From Friday's Daily)
Thomas F. Peters, one of the best known pioneer residents of this county, passed away Wednesday night at 11:30 o'clock from Bright's disease, after an illness of five weeks.
He was one of the most upright of men, and had a large number of friends and acquaintances who will learn with regret of his death.
He was a member of the Ruggle and Drew party that came to Prescott from Colorado in 1875, and from that distant day to the present time made his home in this county, following various vocations, but principally that of farming and mining in the Lonesome and Chino valley sections.
Mr. Peters was born in Belvidere, Illinois on May 2, 1854. Two sisters and one brother survive, the latter a resident of this city and who was with him when the end came. One sister resides in Salt Lake City, while the other is at the old home in Belvidere.
The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from Ruffner's chapel.
