Prescott Journal-Miner, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, May 26, 1914, page 4, column 4 Hawkins Death Deplored at Honolulu Letters Received Give Particulars Of Family Tragedy; Body Arrives Home Arrivals from Jerome yesterday stated the funeral of Myron Hawkins, son of Dr. and Mrs. L. A. Hawkins, took place on Sunday, the remains arriving the day before from Honolulu, H.I., where the deceased suicided, owing to domestic troubles. The funeral cortege was the largest ever known in that community, and was over one mile long, every business house in the city closing. The dead young man was born and raised in Jerome and was aged only 22 years. He married at Honolulu, his wife going to that city from Jerome. Transcriber's note: Mr. Hawkins is buried at the Cottonwood Cemetery, Cottonwood, Arizona.
